A terrible trip to Sanqinshan Mountain

On the night before the Dragon Boat Festical the author read an attractive article on the internet and three days later he joined a team of strangers and went to Sanqingshan Mountain. But the bad weather and a series of small accidents made the trip a nightmare. In the end, he returned with disappointment. However, was this exprience really that bad? Perhaps a wonderful memory when he looks back……Let us see how it’s like that day.

Returning to XiTang

Cao went to Xitang 4 years ago. Thus during this recent trip, he paid more attention to the locals’ lives rather than the traditional architecture. Obviously, Xitang today has lost her quietness, and is packed with tourists. However, as night approaches, everything is different. The lights going on, travelers sit on the bridges to enjoy the beautiful scenery, and locals chitchatting among themselves…and that’s where Xitang becomes a paradise again……

Seeking Naito Konan’s Footprints: the Changes of Nanking

A century ago, Japanese professor Naito Konan came to Nanking, travelled to many tourists spots in just four days and published a book when he returned to Japan. The places he visited at that time are still the places we visit if we’re in Nanking. However, it’s hard for us to imagin how these spots look like a hundred years ago. Some of the tourists and citizens can tell you a brief history of these places, but most of these tales are long forgotten. The author was born in Nanking and now works in Shanghai. He went back to his hometown during holidays and felt the changes of Nanking when following Naito Konan’s trace…
